Proper Selection of Physiologic Methods in the Study of Congenital and Acquired Heart Disease

Cardiac catheterization, intra-arterial pressure-pulse curves, and oximetry at the ear are methods which have a practical application in diagnosis and prognosis in various types of heart disease. They are often essential in the proper selection of patients for cardiac surgery.
