WHILE PREDICTIONS for the growth of Internet Protocol television (IPTV) may vary, industry analysts generally agree it is set to be a global phenomenon that is here to stay. For instance, The Diffusion Group predicts that IPTV will attract 34 million subscribers by 2010, while recent figures from iSuppli suggest it could be as much as 63 million.
