Repsol said it has signed an agreement for a European dollar 120 million ($127 million) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance a biofuels plant in Spain. The deal with the EIB, the EU's lending arm, underscores the political support in Brussels for biofuels as the bloc looks to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.By 2030, the EU aims to increase the share of renewable energy in transport to at least 14%, including a minimum share of 3.5% for advanced biofuels.
