Prisma to Run EU Gas Purchase Platform

The European Commission has selected Prisma European Capacity Platform to launch and operate the EU's joint gas-purchasing platform, which is expected to be operational before the summer. Selection of the Leipzig-based gas capacity trading platform operator is in line with the commission's target of selecting a service provider by the end of January. It comes a month after EU energy ministers agreed to launch a platform for joint gas purchasing.
