Brazilian public prosecutors seek court ban on atrazine

The Brazilian public labour prosecutor office (MPT) has applied for a court order to ban the use of the herbicide, atrazine. The prosecutors are seeking provisional cancellation of approvals issued by the national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, for the production, export, import, commercialization and use of atrazinebased products.
