Europe’s leading energy companies are becoming more selective about the kinds of low-carbon renewables businesses they will invest in. After years of committing small portions of their capital budgets across a range of low-carbon sectors, they are now focusing on businesses where they believe they have competitive advantage and/or where a sizeable market may exist in the future.
