The related parameters of arc discharge phenomenon and the noise waveform at breaking on Ag contact materials were measured simultaneously. Ag and an AgZnO contacts are operated for 300 times, and each parameters, such as arc duration, maximum value of current noise at 1MHz, timing where the maximum noise occurred, bridge voltage and bridge duration from the bridge waveform were measured. The dependency of contact operating time and a correlation coefficient of the each measured value are estimated and from the noise waveform, the time based amplitude probability characteristic of noise waveforms are discussed. As a result, slight correlation between bridge voltage and other parameters in Ag was observed, but it was not found out such relationship in AgZnO.
