Iran has signed the largest ever investment agreement in its oil and gas sector, agreeing a $40 billion energy cooperation memorandum of understanding with Russia's Gazprom as the two sanctions-hit countries solidify ties. The MOU will include developing the offshore Kish, North Pars and South Pars gas fields, as well as LNG projects, installation of gas export pipelines, swaps in gas and oil products, technical and scientific cooperation, exports of catalysts and manufacturing critical oil industry equipment, Iranian media reported.
