Manganese ore prices fell steeply again in September with both seaborne and port prices significantly lower than in August. Seaborne prices saw the largest drop with high-grade falling by 17.5% and semi-carbonate down by 12.0%. While Chinese demand is strengthening slightly as construction activity improves, many markets outside of China are weakening as economic and industrial activity slows.
