Light and Electrical Current Stimulate the Same Feed-back System inNitella

摘要

Slow damped oscillations (period about 1 hr) of membrane potential inNitellacan be initiated by a change in light intensity as well as by an injection of electrical current. This observation supports a model of the involvement of feed-back controlled transport in pH-regulation.
