On February 16, 2022, Airbus announced that Etihad Airways has signed a Letter of Intent for seven A350 freighters to replace its currently fleet of five Boeing 777 freighters. However, at the time of going to print, it wasn't known if this included conversion of the 15 A350-1000s the United Arab Emirates flag carrier has remaining on order or was a separate deal. Etihad has taken delivery of five A3S0-1000s so far and is expected to commence revenue services with the type over the coming months.
