This paper discusses the interconnection between the main parameters of the target seeker of an optical homing head (OHH): the indication sensitivity, the resolving power, the information-update frequency, etc. The requirements on these are contradictory, and therefore their values must be optimized. A trispectral multichannel target seeker in a 90-mm midsection that detects radiation in the IR and UV ranges is described whose design maintains definite continuity with the target seeker of the OHH for the Igla portable surface-to-air missile system.
