TotalEnergies sees 5 rise in Q4 oil, gas output, weaker refining margins

France’s TotalEnergies expects to report a 5% quarter-on-quarter rise in its oil and gas production at over 2.8 million boe/d for the fourth quarter of 2022, helped by the ramp-up of new projects and restart of Kazakhstan’s giant Kashagan field, the company said Jan. 17. TotalEnergies’ Q4 output benefitted from project ramp-ups at Brazil’s Mero 1 and Nigeria’s Ikike oil fields in addition to the restart of Kashagan, the company said in a trading statement ahead of its full-year results.
