Dyeing of Wool Fibre with Onion Skin as a Natural Dye

摘要

Scoured wool fibres were dyed with colour extracted from onion skin and the effect of temperature, pH and different mordants has been evaluated. The overall results of the dyed samples are found to be satisfactory. It is observed that there is no significant effect of temperature, however, pH of dye bath shows some effect on K / S values and different mordants produces different colours on wool fibres.
