Brazilian state-owned oil company Petrobras increased oil and natural gas production by 1.4% year on year in the first quarter, as recently installed floating production units ramped up output from the Sepia, Berbig?o and Sururu subsalt fields and fresh wells were added in the mature Campos Basin. Petrobras pumped 2.757 million b/d of oil equivalent in the first quarter, up from 2.720 million boe/d in the same period in 2021, the company said in a production and sales report released April 27. Firstquarter production advanced a more robust 3.5% when compared to the 2.663 million boe/d produced in the fourth quarter of 2021.
