Located within the footprint of Old Sarum Airfield in Wiltshire, the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection (BDAC) welcomed two new additions - Avro 707A WZ736 and English Electric P1A WG763 - on loan to its growing collection of aircraft.Arriving at the historic site on January 31, 2022, the radical looking jets had been loaned to the Museum of Science and Industry from the RAF Museum's collection, prior to the Manchester attraction's closure last year. A spokesperson said the RAF Museum was thrilled that the aircraft weregoing on loan to the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, noting "it was the RAF Museum's purpose to extend the reach of the RAF's story by sharing its collection with new audiences. With clear links to the local area with both aeroplanes operating from nearby Boscombe Down, it was hoped that visitors will enjoy learning their stories."
