We discuss a fiber-optic converter that converts the microdisplacements of a mirror surface into optical signal power (amplitude) and determine the optimum adjustable distance between the mirror and the ends of the optical fibers together with the optimum angle between the transmitting and receiving fibers that maximizes converter sensitivity.
