MOST PRODUCERS ARE aware that culling rates of sow herds has been on the rise across the U.S. for the past several years.However, an Iowa State professor says that while reproductive failure is the most recorded reason for culling sows from the herd, often those reproduction issues were the result of foot and leg soundness, which in many cases is the result of vitamin deficiency.
