The first of the former Midair Squadron classic jets has been purchased by a new owner. Hawker Hunter T7 XL577/ G-XMHD was de-registered on 12 February as sold to Jordan. This aircraft is no stranger to the Middle Eastern country - in 2006, then registered G-BXKF, it was flown to the capital Amman to take part in a ceremonial flypast, the various ex-Swiss Air Force Hunters and Vampires of the Royal Jordanian Air Force Historic Flight, which had appeared on the UK display circuit during the mid-1990s, having by then been grounded.
