Groz Beckert has carried out several trials with circular knitting machine partners to test the effectiveness of its latest 'Litespeed' needle for high speed knitted fabric production. When knitting at high speeds on the latest circular knitting machines, speeds factors of 1500 can be achieved. The large amount of heat generated from this process can create temperatures of 90 -100 degree Celsius (190 - 220 degree Fahrenheit) at the cylinder and needle cams. These higher machine temperatures obviously causes handling difficulties when trying to fix a machine problem or perform a simple needle or sinker change.
