The Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in the College of Engineering of the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenured full professor position with the administrative responsibility of the Department Chair. The Chair will provide leadership for the department and make sustained contributions to instructional and research programs of the department. The department has 13 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, 5 research scientists, over 200 undergraduate and graduate students, and annual research expenditures in excess of $8 million representing a broad portfolio of externally funded research programs covering the full spectrum of engineering for the marine environment.
