During the relatively brief span of commercial aviation and its fast rate of progress, it is noteworthy that there are still a few examples of time standing still, with airplanes from an earlier era remaining in everyday use. One is the Grumman G-21 Goose operation in Alaska's Aleutian Islands of PenAir (Peninsula Airways—Airways, October 2002).
