摘要

The characters equipment for visually impaired persons was made experimentally. Aiming at a portable device, the equipment reads a characters with a CCD camera and displays them on the Braille-points cell of KGS from the information on NTSC signals. Braille-points cell is made up of 256 pins of 16×16, and its display area is 48mm × 48mm. Data processing and interface control of a Braille-points cell was performed by a one-chip microcomputer.
