摘要

The impact of sulphur compounds on starved Leptinotarsa decemlineata was studied in the laboratory. Either 4th-instar larvae, substage "C" or the summer generation from potato (cv. Atol) fields near mines and sulfur processing plants near Tarnobrzeg, Poland, were used for the experiment. The control fields were located 30 km from the polluted environment. The results corroborated a significant impact of pollution on the decrease in body mass and increased mortality of L. decemlineata collected fromfields near polluted areas, compared with the control.
