Using Well Rehabiliation Chemicals to Improve Water Quality

Biofilms are reported to be reduced (100-fold) and corrosion rateslowered (more than 90/100) by using passive inhibitors anddisinfectants (polyphos- phates and chlorine) in distributionsystems. Therefore, it seems feasible that routine well cleaningshould help wells and water quality remain in optimal condition. Weare not suggest- ing that chemicals substitute for mechanicalcleaning.
