Arthritis research UK GP training prize in musculoskeletal medicine

In the UK, musculoskeletal problems affect in excess of 10 million people. Last year the NHS spent more than 11 million a day on their treatment. At least 25, if not more, GP consultations are related to musculoskeletal problems. The RCGP curriculum states that GPs need to lead on diagnosis and management of common musculoskeletal conditions and beware of uncommon conditions, referring these appropriately.
