Proposal to evolve standards for Raw Field Cup Lumps and facilitate import of Cup LumpsA grave threat to Natural Rubber Industry in India

The Cup Lumps are produced by 2 methods - i) Residual Rubber latex left in the cup which auto cogulates and remains as a lump in the cup and collected during the next tap. This is common in India and constitutes between 15-25% of the crop of the grower; ii) Produced by deliberate coagulations of the latex harvested by using acids or by auto oxidation in the shell. In some countries like Indonesia, Philipines and Africa 100% crop of the grower is in this form.
