This paper describes the solar optical telescope developed for the space-based spectromagnetograph of the Takhomag-International Space Station. It shows that this telescope constructs virtually nonaberrational images of solar photospheres with angular resolution of 0.35 '' according to the Rayleigh criterion. It discusses how design solutions associated with the specific nature of the telescope's operations in space are applied when the telescope is under development as part of the spectromagnetograph.
