THE TWO MOST notable features of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone are its comparatively large display and its support for 4G/LTE. The device, co-developed with Google, provides some useful pointers to shifts in the supply chain as the mobile communications market rolls out a new standard. The Nexus (SCH-i515) is a slate-format, Android 4.0, 4G smartphone with a 4.65in diagonal Super AMOLED screen, a 5MP auto focus primary camera module (with LED 'flash') and a IMP secondary camera module. It also comes with 32GB of internal iNAND NAND flash memory, as well as a modest multi-chip memory package (128Mb NOR Flash and 64Mb pSRAM) to support the 'phone' portion of the design.
