摘要

The Russian government has drawn up measures to improve transportation infrastructure in Crimea, as part of a wider social and economic development plan for the region in 2015-20. Construction of a rail and vehicle bridge across the Kerch strait — a project that is expected to cost around Rbs247bn ($6.8bn) — is supposed to get under way this year. But transportation companies are pessimistic about the outlook for business development in Crimea. “The period of high hopes is over,” Dmitry Purim, chairman of Sovfracht said at a transportation conference held in the Crimean coastal resort of Alushta on 24 July.
