Freight turnover on the NSR has been on the rise for the past two years, rising by 94,000t to 1.36mn t in 2013. But the volume of hydrocarbons shipped fell by 153,000t to 740,900t, reflecting lower transit and exports by Novatek, one of the route’s key condensate cargo shippers.
