Overall crude exports from FSU coun- tries dipped by 2pc on the month to 28mn t (6.9mn b/d) in April, despite a big rise in Transneft pipeline flows. Transneft shipments to non-CIS destinations, including transit ship- ments, increased by 5.7pc from March to 4.64mn b/d (19.15mn t) last month, the highest level since May 2006, when 4.65mn b/d was exported. Shipments peaked as a result of lower crude throughputs at Russian refineries, which carried out large-scale mainte- nance last month.
