Rosneft and Gunvor look south

Trading firm Gunvor plans to shift river exports of products from Rosneft’s Samara refineries to southbound routes this year. Gunvor expects to boost shipments from the Samara plants to the port of Kavkaz to 1.5mn-2.5mn t from 600,000t last year, traders say. Last year, around 2.5mn t of products from Samara, mainly fuel oil, headed north along the Volga-Baltic waterway for export through St Petersburg, down by 9pc compared with 2011.
