Seaborne product exports on the rise

Seaborne exports of Russian diesel rose by 2.1mn t on the year to 21.9mn t in January-June. Primorsk hiked loadings of low-sulphur diesel, reflect- ing higher output. A total of eight refineries — including Taif at Nizhnekamsk, Perm, Omsk, Moscow and Ufa — now supply 10ppm sulphur diesel to the port. None of them shipped 10ppm through this outlet in the first half of 2012. Seaborne jet fuel exports rose to 322,000t in January- June from 157,000t in the first six months of last year. The Latvian port of Ventspils handled jet fuel, mostly from Bela- rusian refineries. Last year, the majority of Belarusian jet fuel exports headed to Afghanistan by rail.
