Earthstone expands in Delaware basin with $1.5bn deal

US independent oil and gas producer Earthstone Energy will buy privately held Novo Oil & Gas for $1.5bn to bolster its footprint in the Permian’s Delaware basin. As part of the same deal, fellow independent Northern Oil and Gas will acquire working interests equal to 33pc of Novo’s assets from Earthstone for $500mn.
