Urals becomes sourer

Sulphur content in crude shipped through the Transneft system rose slightly on almost all routes in the third quarter, while density mostly fell. The density of Urals at Primorsk and Novorossiysk increased as a result of lower deliveries of light crude into Transneft’s system and high domestic demand for such crude, traders say. But there were decreases in the density of Urals exported through the Druzhba pipeline, as well as in shipments of ESPO Blend through the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline.
