New pipelines for new crude

New pipelines to deliver crude from new fields to the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) system are gradually coming on stream. Gazpromneft and Rosneft started trial crude supplies from their East Messoyakh field in Yamal-Nenets through the 32mn t/yr (600,000 b/d) Zapolyarye- Purpe (Z-P) pipeline on 21 September. Earlier in the month, Lukoil started delivering crude to the Z-P link from its Pyakyakhinskoye field in Yamal-Nenets. The formal launch of Z-P is planned for November. Transneft vice-president Sergei Andronov said in September that Gazpromneft and Rosneft could supply a combined 450,000t by the end of this year, split equally between them.
