Product exports along waterways in European Russia were down on the year and the month again in September, with little prospect of improvement. Shipments totalled 918,900t, down from 1.01mn t in August and down by 40pc on September 2014. Water levels on the lower reaches of Don river remain low, so larger tankers must either pass through underloaded, or exporters must use smaller vessels on this section and reload cargoes onto larger ones, complicating deliveries.
