Pipeline gasoil exports rise

Gasoil and diesel exports through Transneft’s product pipeline system — including combined pipeline and rail supplies — increased by 4pc to 21.7mn t last year. Pipeline supplies of 10ppm diesel to the Baltic port of Primorsk hit 11.3mn t last year, up by nearly 2mn t on 2013. The increase was achieved through the use of drag-reducing agents in the Sever line, whose capacity rose to 15mn t/yr from 8.5mn t/yr in November. All of the product pumped to Primorsk last year had a sulphur content of 10ppm after Surgutneftegaz’s Kirishi refinery switched to producing the grade. Previously, the Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Nizhnekamsk, Omsk, Moscow and Ufa refineries all supplied 10ppm, while Kirishi supplied 350ppm product.
