Non-Transneft crude exports on the rise

Crude exports from Russia outside the Transneft pipeline system kept growing last year, mainly from Sakhalin island and Timan-Pechora fields. Loadings at Lukoil’s far-north Varandey terminal rose by 9pc to 120,000 b/d (5.88mn t), according to ports statistics agency Morcentre-TEK, while exports of Sakhalin crude were up by 5.4pc to 277,000 b/d (13.31mn t) (see table). Crude flows to Varandey from fields developed by Lukoil’s Naryanmarneftegaz subsidiary, the Total-led Kharyaga production sharing agreement, and the Trebs field that is being developed by Bashneft-Polyus, a Bashneft-Lukoil joint venture.
