Novatek targets naphtha export record

Russia’s largest independent gas pro- ducer Novatek is poised to export a record amount of naphtha this year. It loaded 997,000t of the product at the Baltic port of Ust-Luga during the second quarter of 2015, up by 12.4pc on April-June last year. Naphtha output climbed to 357,000t in May 2015 from 234,000t in February 2014, reflecting higher condensate runs at the compa- ny’s Ust-Luga splitter. Novatek pro- cessed 3.4mn t during January-June, compared with 4.7mn t during the whole of 2014.
