Palmali launches new tanker

Turkey’s Besiktas shipyard launched the 7,100t Shovket Alekperova, a Novaya Armada project RST22M tanker built for Palmali, on 30 April. Palmali has ordered a 14-strong family of RST22M project vessels. It has ordered seven from Besiktas, while five are under construction at Turkey’s Turkter shipyard at Tuzla, the first of which is due to launch by the end of this year and the other four next year.
