In spite of all the post-Shoreham uncertainties, the 2016 UK airshow calendar remains - at the time of writing - afull and varied affair. Things will certainly be a little different, and not just because of the CAA's new measures. With Vulcan XH558 now grounded, the biggest regular crowd-pleaser of recent years, Red Arrows aside, is gone. The collapse of the Midair Squadron and the ongoing dispersal of the Air Atlantique Classic Flight/Classic Air Force fleet, to say nothing of the continued Hunter grounding, mean that vintage jets will be less of a feature. Hopefully Naval Aviation Ltd's Sea Vixen will get to be viewed more widely.
