Summer returns

Crude and product stocks in the US, EU and Japan have risen by 86mn bl since the end of the second quarter, or 700,000 b/d. Forward cover is lower than last summer because demand has recovered. Total oil stocks in the US and Europe ended last month at the same level as a year earlier - the highest since August 1998.
