Oil prices climbed to 12-month highs in the US, boosted by colder weather, refinery maintenance and large product stockdraws.Prices rose less dramatically in Europe, where similar factors were offset by a large overhang of middle distillates in floating storage.US benchmark WTI rose by $5.89/bl to $77.58/bl in the week to 15 October, its highest in a year. Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated climbed by $5.11/bl to $73.43/bl, but failed to break through the high from August when maintenance limited supply.
