IMF forecasts 'weak' recovery

The IMF has raised its growth forecast for next year, as Asian economies lead what is expected to be a "sluggish" recovery. The IMF says the global economy will grow by 2.5pc in 2010 in the July update of its World Economic Outlook (WEO). This is 0.6 percentage points more than it forecast in the 2009 WEO in April (AGM, 2 7 April, p3).
