According to news reporting fromGuaratingueta, Brazil, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “The asteroidal main belt is crossed by a webof mean motion and secular resonances that occur when there is a commensurability between fundamentalfrequencies of the asteroids and planets. Traditionally, these objects were identified by visual inspection ofthe time evolution of their resonant argument, which is a combination of orbital elements of the asteroidand the perturbing planet(s).”Financial supporters for this research include Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnologico(CNPQ), Fundacao de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Sao Paulo (FAPESP), Coordenacao deAperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES).
