Ust-Luga naphtha exports rise

Naphtha exports from Gunvor’s Ros-neftbunker terminal at Ust-Luga rose in March,but overall naphtha loadings at the Baltic port fell following a drop in shipments through the Sibur and Novatek terminals. Rosneftbunker loadings grew after Rosneft’s 90,000 b/d Nizhnevartovsk plant resumed supplies.Deliveries ended in October 2013 after Rosneft signed a one-year deal with Vitol,which opted to buy at the Latvian port of Ventspils. But Russian Railways hiked its tariff for shipping naphtha to foreign ports in February,pushing up the cost of deliveries to Ventspils by 13.4pc, making Ust-Luga a more profitable outlet.
