The cost of seaborne product exports from Russia’s Baltic and northwest ports to destinations in northwest Europe have fallen by $0.16-1.05/t from November to $10.05-20.00/t this month. Time-charter rates for 10,000-55,000t tankers have dropped because of the persistent global tonnage surplus. Rates from Arkhangelsk and Kaliningrad to Rotterdam have fallen most sharply — by $1.05/t to $20/t, and by 86¢/t to $13.20/t, respectively. On these routes, time charter rates for 15,000-25,000t vessels are down by $960/d to $10,790/d.
