Shrinking production

Some central European countries produce crude, but not much thanks to depletion at mature fields. Croatia produced just 12,000 b/d of crude in 2013, down from a peak of 39,600 b/d in 1994. The country only produces from onshore fields. Ina is the largest crude producer in southeast Europe, and Croatia’s recoverable crude reserves are estimated at 241mn bl of oil equivalent (boe). The government announced tenders to develop several onshore and offshore blocks last year.
